Movie description:
In 1975 Disney released a very high quality film titled »Escape To Witch Mountain«. In 1995 they released a made for TV movie with the same name. Though some of the ideas and even names are borrowed from the original movie, it isn’t the same story.
A boy and a girl, twins, are separated as babies and grow to age 10 not remembering each other. Then they are drawn together in an orphanage and learn their connection and that they share some supernatural powers. The usual story, a rich man tries to exploit their abilities and they plot and carry out an escape to find their original family.

Allein schon Erik von Detten ist für mich immer ein Garant für gute Unterhaltung. So auch hier; darüber hinaus ist dieser Film auch sehr gelungen und wird nie langweilig. Hier einmal gehobenes Ambiente als Drehkulisse, ist wohl genauso reizvoll wie wanzlausiges Schmuddelambiente a la Schimanski-Duisburg. Langweilig ist immer nur das Mittelmaß. Davon hier aber keine Spur.
