Admiral Frank Beardsley a widower with eight children returns to New London to run the Coast Guard’s academy, his last stop before a probable promotion to head the Guard. His kids are longing for a permanent home. Helen North is a widow with ten children. Frank and Helen were high school sweethearts and they reconnect at a school reunion. And decide to get married, problems start occurring when the two sets of children have to live together.
